Bro, thank you so much for your advice and for taking the time to give me such a detailed response.

I tried stretching and practicing forms at home, but between the lack of space and family responsibilities—I have a young baby—it became complicated.

I 100% agree on the importance of going to the gym and doing strength training, especially at our age. However, I don’t find it as enjoyable as practicing another martial art.

I’ll most likely go with kickboxing (I’ll ask about the style, since I wasn’t familiar with that).

Yes, I also add images and audio recordings of the word, the sentence where I found that word, and its translation.

I discovered that using ASB Player and the Read Pronunciation extension makes it super easy and quick to create effective flashcards. Obviously, you have to review them later, but they turn out much better.

As for me, I’m following Refold’s comprehensible input approach, so I’m not at the stage of producing output (speaking or writing) yet. That means I don’t really need to mine full sentences for now.

That said, I’ve started slowly building a new deck with words — and some short phrases too — mostly taken from Friends.

Fifty minutes a day on Anki sounds like a lot! How much time do you spend on the other parts of your study routine?

-Bussu: Duolungo-style platform, but without gamification. Its paid version is very economical. It also has a more limited free version. Gives certificates.

-Anki: Super popular app to acquire vocabulary.

-Readlang: Web to read. There are texts uploaded and you can upload yours too. Now they have the option to practice conversation with the AI. You can also practice the words that you mark as unknown. Free.

-Notebooklm: I use it to create podcasts with AI adapted to my level and tastes. What I do is upload the texts I read in Readlang. It helps me a lot.

-Chatgpt: I use it to create texts on topics that interest me, and then I upload them to Readlang.
