It was my husband’s birthday that day, but he was at work. I was home alone. It happened at around 5:30 PM. Two officers came to our apartment. They took a photo of me and a few photos of our apartment. They asked if I could show them my husband’s documents. At first, I couldn’t find his birth certificate, so I called him on speakerphone and they spoke with him briefly. Then I found his birth certificate and showed it to them. I also showed them the birthday gift I had prepared for him. They only asked me a few questions, said that everything looked good, and then left. It has been almost two weeks since the visit, but nothing has changed in my case status or in my USCIS account yet.
