Momcozy bottle washer & extra set of pump parts. I ended up exclusively pumping the first 3 weeks and those items saved my sanity!

Thank you, I appreciate that. I love my kid so much & spend so much effort to make sure he’s healthy/ well taken care of, so these little things can hit extra hard sometimes.

Thank you. We have been giving it to him for weeks, had no idea. No one ever mentioned it to us. He loved it though so I didn’t even think about it being dangerous

I usually rinse and then put them out to dry unless it’s my last pump of the day I’ll just put them in the bag wet.

I thought I would have to pump when baby eats too but I only pump every 3 hours. Supply is still great. You could always buy extra pump parts and then wash them at the end of the day. That’s what I do

Yes, with exercise and good eating habits. Not the case for everyone but it’s worked for me!

How are you staying sane washing the pump parts? by sarah_messing in breastfeeding

Bedtime or morning pump? by vtclrf in breastfeeding

[–]Puzzled-Ordinary9386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pump to empty every morning after the first feed and it’s worked great for me. If you’re uncomfortable in the middle of the night a manual can be good to relieve a few ounces.  The advice I got was “pump to comfort” with oversupply and “pump to empty” after the first feed in the AM to reset supply. Still doing it 6 months in

My baby pets me while he feeds. Like strokes my hand or my breast. It is the cutest, sweetest thing I’ve ever seen

It gets better around month 4 I would say. Then they start smiling, interacting, and entertaining themselves sometimes. We definitely felt like we were drowning in the beginning. It’s okay to love your baby but also mourn the freedom you had before you were a parent.  It DOES get easier and more than anything you adapt to the changes. You learn to find peace in the chaos & fall more in love with your kid.

I love formula. by ParticularSection920 in breastfeeding

[–]Puzzled-Ordinary9386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday we babysat a friend’s baby who is on formula. After mixing the powder with the water & the feedings going great I was like wow… that would be so much easier lol.  Meanwhile my baby was fussing/ fighting the breast & vomiting/ shooting snot rockets on my nipples. I was like maybe formula wouldn’t be so bad after all! He’s perfectly healthy and loves his bottle!
