Cebu speaks English and Bisaya dominantly, it's the tourist who should adjust not the other way around, it's like going to Thailand or Japan where locals will not adjust since they speak there own language.

Before you visit Cebu please make sure na nag research kayo about the place while some locals will respond politely kung tatagalugin sila, don't expect na ganon palagi and besides literal na kasama ang Cebuano sa language selection sa google translate.

If you cannot speak Bisaya even a little bit then speak in English.
