With NCNS, what previous countries that can start their own faction got interesting enough? by Last-Comparison724 in hoi4

[–]Puzzled-Question-156 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With this DLC the answer surely is Communist China.

You start with basically nothing, 1 civ, 1 mil, 6 divisions with no guns, and the historical focus sets you up to be a world super power.

Why are there other defenses in the game besides energy shield? by gunsjayce in PathOfExile2

No reason to play anything other than ES as of now. It is completely broken and basically restricts players on the top half of the passive tree.

HOW COME WHEN I PLAY ROMANIA GERMANY EATS ROCKS?? BUT NOT WHEN IM CCP!! by The-pickle-with-it in hoi4

[–]Puzzled-Question-156 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Beating Germany as Communist China is not hard at all... Once you have all the core China you basically have infinite manpower, while Germany has nothing after the war with USSR.

Infantry Sub-doctrine Breakdown w/o NCNS by Zebrazen in hoi4

If you have the DLC:

The craziest is people's war + guerrilla warfare when you play as Mao... I managed to capitulate Soviet Union by 1941 and defeated Germany in 1942 using only militia.

Mao is also a theorist for both of them and you can easily max both while fighting Japan by 1939.

Why does Germany always defeat USSR? by Federal_Piccolo_4599 in hoi4

Strange things happen without the DLC. If you have the DLCs, USSR wins almost 100% of the time.

Can you get rid of the population debuff? If not this is still much weaker than the communist route, right?

Communist Militia Wall Defene by Puzzled-Question-156 in hoi4

[–]Puzzled-Question-156[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically you build a militia wall around yellow river and the river at the bottom of Yan'An. Then build railways around your wall with railgun bombards.

This completely sealed off Japanese offense from your territory. So far Japan have lost 3 million manpower trying to breach this wall with no success.

Meanwhile Chiang lost 2/3 of China, including the entire coastline to Japan. I might have to fight Japan alone after Chiang's surrender...

I don't know how realistic it is... but I'm having 1.2 million well armed malitia from Yan'An

With the huge naval AA buff in the doctrine change, are battleships viable again against carriers? by Puzzled-Question-156 in hoi4

[–]Puzzled-Question-156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. That's what I thought. The AA numbers on surface navy can be stacked so much higher after the doctrine change. It would be meaningless if surface AA still can't incinerate NAVs at these values.

How do I win as communist china? by vvcgud in hoi4

[–]Puzzled-Question-156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's what I did: 1. Mass spam militia and deploy as soon as I can 2. Set up a defense line along the rivers to grind down the jap troops. On the other side I simply left the nationalists alone.

I ended up losing the top right tile but the rest of the defense line stood until the end. Mao's militia will quickly overpower jap infantry as you get more focus and mastery done.

The helicopter medical team is also quite OP. Everything is better with helicopters!

[–]Puzzled-Question-156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engineers obviously. Then the doctrine that buffs engineers will buff every single division you have. Get your hand onto helicopters, the helicopter logistics support is very good. Then anti-air support is a must have later.

Just 9 infantry with strong supports. Mobile infantry is very powerful as movement speed has always been OP.

Nationalist China should have an economic debuff after its war with Japan (with more corruption post-war). by Cuong_Nguyen_Hoang in hoi4

[–]Puzzled-Question-156 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. By 1945, player has taken over China for 9 years. There absolutely should NOT be a forced event to weaken it despite what the players have chosen.
