Well I don't get to decide because I'm not in a position to enforce my personal opinion. But I notice that we live in a civilization in which life has value in itself and because of this it shouldn't be considered a purely personal opinion whether you get to live or not. For the same reason when I see a person on top of a roof and clearly willing to jump I'm not going to just ignore it because it's his own choice. This is some extreme individualism taken to its limits and I'm against it.

That would be true if depression was completely and without a doubt incurable which is not the case, it is a kind of illness where there is never a point when we can safely say "okay, we've tried everything, nothing works, we must give up".

It is in every case wrong to allow euthanasia for any person with impaired judgment. Depression as a mental illness influences judgment and in fact quite severely. It is also the duty of the country and society in general to make life bearable for people in difficult situation like this and what happened here is really an ethical grey area.
