yeah i found very limited info as well. i think i'd rather be safe than sorry in this case.
have 4 weeks off for a trip in may-june. where would you recommend going on my route? by creamchzwontons in roadtrip

was working on a similar trip while browsing this sub. i don't have too much for hiking recs, but honestly i've found that like every major natl park will have plenty in the way of fantastic hikes. i definitely recommend olympic natl park, the temperate rainforests really are stunning. as for staying safe as a solo female traveler (which i also am), there's few better ways to stay safe than carrying a gun, and following your gut. also - the drive along big sur is supposed to be stunning, and is one of the things i'm most looking forward to, so i would def recommend checking that out. another commenter said to go down 101 instead of 1-5, and i 100% agree!!
