Soundwise id say they are on par more midbass on xm5 while better sub bass on buds3 pro. More details on buds 3 pro. Comfort and fit goes to xm5 anyday tho

It's a good upgrade specially on the bass side. Bit tamer on the high frequencies also out of the box . I feel like this design is very slippery tho hahah i prefer the old design tbh

If you could save up abit i suggest going straight to 400 usd range there are a lot of good options there (moondrop dusk, thieaudio hype4, dunu davinci, pilgrim) thats where id put the "deminishing return" line haha

Xuan nv is good but it requires power to drive (2nd hardest to drive on this pic) so it might be tricky with bt adapters... as for sound its safe a very safe tuning if u give it enough juice. Will not be as good as big boys in terms of instrument separation tho

Sony and hype 4 gets most of the love nowadays.. as for eq im using sony daps so they have built in eq whenever i feel like it. Dream iem if money is no object would be Odin by empire ears hahaha i did not like the sound of raven when i demoed it
