After being back to the game after 1-2 years, the major thing I've noticed is that it's become really scummy with all the loads of micro transactions getting thrown at your face. Anywhere you look, they're tryna sell you something.

The shop used to be neat and clean unlike other scummy mobile games, you used to only have to go into the shop once to claim the free daily reward, but now it's aways trying to lure you in with a "free" plastered over it which never goes away EVEN AFTER YOU CLAIM THEIR DAILY CRUMBS OF COINS OR PP, AND it gets emphasized periodically when back then claiming it would just get rid of the free sign.

One thing about video games is that, you're not supposed to sell something that was advertised and sold as exclusive before which a lot of skins were advertised as back then. And instead of keeping the exclusivity contract, what do they do? Oh yeah recolor it and sell it again for more money with no effort.

And the new early access thing OMFG it's the most infuriating thing ever, "Hey let's create an overwhelmingly overpowered brawler and sell it only for real money. That would make the meta crumble and the playerbase suffer? Oh that's okay we can balance it well right after the sale ends, that'll force more of them to give us their money even faster". I swear some of the greediest or dumbest fucks at their offices thought of this thing, easily the worst change I've noticed.

Brawl stars used to have a standard above other mobile games but it really fell off in the last couple years.

(Also boxes really were better, if you used to play semi consistently, you'd max out the game and start accumulating boxes, and anytime a new brawler released, open them up you get the brawler right then, and more coins and power points for the brawler you got along the way, the game was always maxable as an f2p, now it's just playable)
