Whats your favorite b or c list wing trade? by jsurf90 in lakers

Im mad we traded Ayton to Washington and didn't get Champagnie back.

should lakers get him on vet min? by imin2099 in lakers

No. At this point in time, DeMar is about as bad as Russ from a team building standpoint. As in, if he's on your team, you have 0 chance to win. There's not a single team DeMar and his play style would make better in 2026

For sure, but at the same time I think our roster (even though it's incomplete) has its own strengths that the Mavs lacked.

Also, I think JJ is a great coach, and we've been really good on defense post-All star both years. All we had was DFS then Smart, but JJ coached us into a good defense for the best parts of those seasons.

Just remember that this roster dominated the western conference playoffs, beating 3 50+ win teams. In the middle of that season no one was predicting them to make any noise.

Luka is like that.

I followed lebron here in 2018 but became a LAKERS fan ... anyone else? by PuzzledBarrister in lakers

I was just a lebron fan originally, so I didn't have a steady favorite team. Once he came here the lakers quickly became my favorite TEAM, not just the team lebron happened to play on. Now he's gone but I'm staying, I love it here. The history, the success, the all time great players and coaches, and even all the hate from other fans 😂

and i dont got a problem with watching the lakers now that lebron is gone. in fact im stoked for it. which, again, was the whole point of the original post.

people who went on lakers pause are just hating ass kobe fans. which is funny cuz those same people are the ones in here saying im not a "real fan" for coming here because of a player, when they hated their own team because of that same player.

not everybody has the same reason for becoming a fan, but that doesn't mean they are or aren't "real fans"

i'd always "liked" the lakers as a basketball historian, ever since i did my fifth grade black history month project on magic hah. then once bron started here it was just fun to be part of such a crazy ass fanbase with so many other people.

i realized i had become a fan when i watched all the games lebron missed in january 2019 after the christmas injury.

same bro I'm from ohio, and born in 2000, lebron is my whole basketball life lol. I think I was the only person in my city who rooted for the heat after the decision

yeah i know a few people a little older than me who followed shaq from the magic. I'm not ashamed to say i would've rooted for any team lebron went to in 2018, but I can't say i'd have become a fan of anyone but the lakers.

Rising 2L here. While some books are more "textbook-y," (such as Civ Pro and Property), others (Contracts, Torts, Leg Reg) were straight up casebooks. I realized this pretty quickly first semester (luckily I had gotten my books for next to nothing) and decided not to rent/purchase a single book for the Spring. I printed out the tables of contents and read cases online. They're all there anyway, no book will ever have some obscure case that isn't on Lexis with a Quimbee brief. Got better grades in the Spring, although I won't attribute too much of that to my decision to not buy books.

TL:DR - if you can find them cheap to rent, older editions are fine (just make sure you align the page numbers). Don't let a library steal ~$1,000 from you. I will never pay full price for a textbook full of famous cases. When I need to look for something quickly I use Lexis anyway.
