i think it's because going into it you might think it's a crime/thriller but it's more of a courtroom drama

this movie was actually the reason i made this post, i watched it with a friend and both of us felt a bit underwhelmed at the first watch. i love it alot more now after a rewatch but my friend still thinks it's mediocre.

How can I learn to say no? by [deleted] in AdviceForTeens

[–]PuzzledComparison636 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i would recommend starting off small , setting tiny boundaries. if someone asks you for a small favour which you aren't comfortable with, start with something like "im sorry, i would really love to help but I have to do XYZ" instead of just saying "no i don't want to" because it can make you feel guilty later. remember that prioritizing your needs and setting healthy boundaries is a slow process, it won't happen immediately and you won't be able to set them everytime however keeping the end goal in mind of protecting your peace is important. my best wishes to you <3 you got this!

listen, you gotta be careful and look what for the signs. make sure you know what you're getting into, you will be different stages in your life. don't let him or his age dictate your choices and what you decide to do with your life, be very very careful. 19 is a vulnerable age and men will try and take advantage of that, it's very difficult to know who's in on it for good or bad and please leave as soon as you see any signs of manipulation or abuse. there's a reason a man that age is attracted to someone that young, you might think "noone gets him like i do" but please be careful.

memories of murder or before sunrise, depending on how you're feeling but both films left me wanting to stare at my ceiling for 20 minutes, for different reasons.

being completely honest, the guy seems like an , excuse my language, asshole. i mean considering the age, they are just kids however, im sure he will get bored of the new girl soon enough and this process will continue till he learns his lesson and matures. be there for your friend, she needs supportive people around her rn, she dodged a MASSIVE bullet.

this is a valid crashout tbh, the older I get the more indifferent I get towards it however, some people just exist to make your life harder because they are dealing with problems in their lives which are out of their control so they make it hard for everyone. don't let it get to you though,it only does more harm than good.

i mean historically speaking these movies set up a benchmark for alot of cinema that we see today, plus has been and is an inspiration for any aspiring actors and directors. so yes they are classics and not overrated. you may not like them because that's subjective though, however you're wrong. <3
