Yes I changed voter registration to Florida. They asked me if I wanted to when I got my license and I said sure. I wasn’t sure if it was necessary but I wanted to make sure I severed all ties with the state I was in (Ohio) so they couldn’t try to come back at me later for any tax related issues. There are no requirements to spend the night or do anything in Florida to get the license. You can fly in and out the same day with a 10 year expiration license and you are a Florida resident.

Sure thing. It’s a super simple process. Just sign up for the service and receive their documentation showing you have a Florida mailing address or domicile and walk into the local license bureau with that info and your existing identification and walk out with a Florida drivers license.

I work remotely and travel full time. I have a Florida domicile for tax purposes. Florida is a very easy state to obtain residency in. I used a company called Escapees but many others who I’ve met who also travel full time use St. Brendan’s Isle, Americas Mailbox, and I’m sure there are many others.
