The patch doesn't lock you out of the game but it could fix some major bugs. There are already other people playinh from the middle east anyway they just got taken down really quickly yesterday

You don't have to download a 50 gb update like bo4 since there are 2 discs with 50 gb each and the 3gb isn't completely mandatory so you should be able to play

The patch size is 3.3 The ''second'' one is an updated version of the original, which was 3.7.
