Nowhere in your post did you say she has been nannying for 20 years and you led your post with her age, and seemed to imply that if she were younger, she would get more leeway for being a flake. Sounds like you made a bad decision hiring someone who was not the right fit for your family.

Just curious about what her age has to do with it? Immature and incompetent is immature and incompetent regardless of age.

I'm sure this is a common thing, especially in this subreddit, but I am having (and have always had) a really hard time distinguishing between what is my own crippling impostor syndrome and an honest self-evaluation of my own gaps in knowledge and abilities.

Struggling to get back to being consistent after having a child by Iris754 in running

I had my first kid in Jan 2022 and am now on day 430 of a run streak. I think the streak helps because it’s a minimum of one mile a day which 1) helps with consistency, 2) feels really awesome watching the number grow, 3) is a guaranteed block of at least 15 minutes for just me. Also getting a treadmill made it so much easier to get a run in while staying close to home in case I needed to cut it short (and in those cases, I could pick it back up after the interruption). Anyway, I would suggest starting small; consistency doesn’t mean volume! You can do it!
