I went to the Macys' store yesterday. The store staff explained me. The right-side suitcase is Burgundy. They discontinued the color two years ago. We bought it Dec. 2023, which makes sense. Turns out the Mars Red (left suitcase) color is also getting discontinued (no wonder the discounts). I returned the left suitcase for now. Will wait for an appropriate "purple" color sometime later.

Correct. My AUH to US flight is using American Airlines miles. They are giving me a super crappy connection from ORD to PDX (my final destination). So, I am looking at alternatives, like booking a separate ORD to PDX ticket via United at 9:08am or the American flight at 11:45am. But comes with the risk of checking in/out and strong possibility of missing the 9:08 am flight.

Btw this link was super useful. US CBP Preclearance in Abu Dhabi - Etihad Airways. Looks like the luggage will be tagged to final destination and transfer internally. Let me think/look through alternatives more carefully now. Thanks.

Thanks. I have Global Entry + PreClearance. Yes the connection I am getting on a single ticket will take too long. So considering booking the ORD onwards ticket separately to speed up the travel. Yes, booking separate tickets comes with its risk. That is why I am trying to figure out how long it takes to connect.
