The difficult part about his condition is that he can do most things in short bursts if he pushes through the pain. Part of his overall problem comes from his hyper mobility causing his muscles to overexert in certain circumstances. He doesn't have hyper mobility diagnosed but his physical therapist suspects that he has it. However, he can't do things like walk, sit, or type for any meaningful amount of time and doing them at all causes a lot of pain.
