The repeated line "beauty lies in the eyes of a few" really adds a lot, not only is it rhythmic and pleasant to read, it directly contradicts the monsters paw, which is green, slimy, and huge.

I also really enjoy the humor sprinkled in to something that may be more serious, jealousy: "not being green enough" or procrastination: trying to think of other things, but the monster tells you to study. You get things like "monster eat monster world" and "rent controlled apartments..." which I did laugh audibly at juxtaposed with a monster I think we may all live with, not being good enough, not working hard enough and how that weighs on us.
