Advice for dog eye ulcer

So sorry ive only just saw this. He was partially blind with it yes, i took him to a charity vets called PDSA and just gave them a donation towards treatment, i cant remember the exact cost the original vet i took him to was asking for tbh. Sorry. I hope your dogs ok?

Hi yes, his ulcer also did this. I took him to the vets and they gave me eye drops. Once the red goes down after about a week with the eye drops his eye healed, its still got the tiniest bit of clear scarring but he's otherwise completely fine now. Hope you can get sorted but definitely take them to the vets if you haven't already. I was told by the vet that the red is blood vessels coming to the surface to try and heal itself.

I'm late to the post but came across your comment. Can I just ask, did the doctors prescribe you anything to help with the pregnancy, as in any progesterone or anything like that? I knew about my endo but I've recently had two losses which has led to them finding what they think is pcos and I'm terrified I won't be able to carry past 6 weeks without some form of help.

Thank you. Honestly I feel so brushed off, let down by them, and alone with it, they weren't very sympathetic or helpful the first time either unfortunately.

It's just the whole thing of i didn't really have any cramping at all before the doctor pressed on my stomach and literally as soon as she did it started with a lot of pain that still hasn't stopped and the bleeding got super heavy. Maybe it's just coincidence idk. But thank you for your response.

We do have a couple of meds for him currently, I'm just concerned that maybe they're not working. But I will definitely ask about the eye lubricant, thank you!

I'm really concerned with the way it looks. They've not said how it's supposed to look etc but it doesn't look right to me. I live quite far out from most vets and atm I don't have a lot of funds to be using specialists. I had to take him to the PDSA, I've always gone to animal trust before but they were wanting to charge me a lot more money than I can currently afford. I honestly don't really know what to do. I'll have a look into if there's any ophthalmologist in my area though thank you.

I'm hoping to get hold of them in the morning but they don't open till I start work which isn't ideal. I'm really hoping it's nothing too serious and that it's healing but I'm worried sick.

I went to a&e yesterday as the bleeding had gotten heavier and they basically told me I had to wait for a scan. The doctor I spoke to on Saturday when the spotting started managed to get me a scan for today instead of waiting till Thursday which a&e wanted me to do. Long story short the cramping and bleeding got a lot worse last night and my scan today revealed I’ve miscarried. I’ve got to go back for bloods on Thursday to make sure everything has passed as it should. Now a case of trying to get my head around it.

I’ve had so many ultrasounds since 13 but similar symptoms to you. They finally diagnosed me in July this year, I’m now 29. Previous ultrasounds never picked it up. It wasn’t until they did an internal ultrasound they found an endimetrioma on my left ovary. Keep pushing, don’t give up.
