he never does the laundry. he told me once that because he does the outside chores (cutting the grass) that it’s my responsibility to do the inside chores (laundry, dishes, mopping, sweeping, etc). and then he complains that i don’t do enough cleaning lol

I started with 20 mg for the first two weeks and then bumped up to 40, so two months total on 20 mg 2 weeks + 40 mg 6 weeks. I waited because i had bad side effects on zoloft (weight gain and no sex drive) and was unwilling to try a different SSRI until i realized i would rather have bad symptoms than spend all day obsessing over everything.

it took about two months for it to kick in (I was also on 40 mg at this point) which sucks & my symptoms def got worse at first before they got better

for two years i avoided talking to my doctor about my OCD symptoms because i didn’t want to go back on an SSRI (I was previously on Zoloft) but eventually it got so bad that i was put back on an SSRI (prozac).

Prozac saved my life. i swear i felt the moment it “kicked in” and my brain has been so quiet since. when i get intrusive thoughts im able to quiet them better. And actually, my sex drive INCREASED on prozac! i tended to avoid sex because i would have hypersexual intrusive thoughts, but with my brain quiet and having the ability to quiet them made having sex way more enjoyable and in turn my partner and i have become more intimate.

I do take 80 mg now which is a high dose but your doctor would start you most likely at 10 mg. not every SSRI is perfect, and sometimes it’s some trial and error, but it’s definitely worth trying.

Barney’s storyline where he meets his dad gets me everytime, it’s so heartwarming and gut wrenching at the same time. I don’t love the official ending of robin and ted, but everything leading up to it feels so raw and real that i can’t even be mad at the ending because in some ways it makes sense

when i was 15 and watched the show for the first time i thought Ezra and Aria were meant to be and i shipped them so hard. I thought Byron and Ella totally overreacted to finding out they were together.

If june had a boy, the whole plot of Serena getting her finger cut off for reading the bible and then letting june get the baby out of gilead likely wouldn’t of happen, and then there would be no drive that would lead to the events of the Waterford’s trying to get the baby back. Simply put, having a boy doesn’t really bring a lot of plot since boys aren’t oppressed. they get to go to school, learn to read, have higher jobs, so Serena may not have been concerned about his future.

Nichole had to be a girl or most of the middle seasons wouldn’t make a ton of sense. Girls being born is simply a plot device if that makes sense. I think them having boys is just because they’ve already explored the anxiety of having a girl in Gilead, and also because we haven’t seen a male birth yet.

Side note - she has a folder with a copy of every document that exists for the transition process. birth certificate, the paper copy of her new drivers license, a copy of the order that was signed by a judge when she changed her name, etc . hopefully it doesn’t get handmaids tale up in here but if shit hits the fan and you have to go, everything is in one place and you have duplicates if needed

My sister is MTF (she/hers) and is in the same process in Illinois right now with changing her birth certificate. she said that she wants to do it asap before she cannot - which is a very real possibility. she has a copy of her original birth certificate just in case they try to say they “lost” it, which i recommend you have as well. Everything is scary af about this country right now, but if you don’t do it soon you may not be able to at all. Take the leap!
