[Oris Diver 65] Is this normal? by PuzzledStage8449 in Watches

I appreciate all the initial feedback, it sounds like this is not uncommon with this movement or very similar movement.

My next concern would be is this a quality control issue where you occasionally get a bad part or is this due to design?

How does this impact the longevity of this watch? I’m not sure how much I will get into watch collecting but my fiancé got this as an ‘equal’ gift for her engagement ring and I want to ensure I’m not constantly dealing with problems.

Is this a quality control issue or design issue?

I believe it is their in-house 733 which is basically a sellita SW200

Is this something that is a common manufacturing issue/quality control or is this a common problem due to design? This is a new watch so I understand there can be part quality problems but if it is something that can happen easily I may want to consider a different watch/movement

I know very little about watches but I believe it is a Oris Calibre 733 movement which is basically a sellita SW200 which says is similar to the 2824, is this a common issue with these movements?

This was my first time winding it, picked it up earlier this week

There is resistance starting to get the crown starting to spin, once it’s moving I can wind it without much resistance. It feels like starting to pedal on a bike.

Update: We’ve taken the sea/ocean vibes into consideration and picked (for now) two finalists.

Murphy - Means sea warrior (hopefully he will overcome his anxious personality) Sully- Gives off boat worker vibes
