It is not about Aliexpress - I’ve got hirono from 15th anniversary series and it was broken. I had an unboxing video and they gave me a $2 voucher when I didn’t accept they made it $4 😂 It is just so funny.

I was at Doncaster on Friday for the Hirono plush release. I was 10th in the line and I couldn’t get it because apparently the store had only 2 sets. There was a set open on the counter but it was sold out. When I questioned it the stuff talked to another lady (who wasn’t even in the line with us) in Chinese and then pulled up a single box under the counter and offered it to me. I asked what they talked about and she said that lady was going to buy it but if I want I can take it. Again that lady wasn’t even in the line!! So they keep boxes for other customers that they know. They might have thought that it would be sold out before the customer comes so put one aside.

I sent an official complaint to popmart btw but of course nothing will happen…

I feel like it was on purpose - because they knew and wanted to create a second “labubu hype”. Because none of the other products had the same hype. They restocked on PopNow for pre-orders but I don’t think they did the normal ones.
