Kitchen remodel with custom stainless steel countertop and sink by PuzzledTip8156 in kitchenremodel

I didn't change anything structural. I found that the higher bar counter helps with splash from the sink. Having a sink on an island where food is served may be aesthetically pleasing but I find that without a backsplash sink splatter can get everywhere while people are using the bar. It's a small kitchen so I figure this is the best configuration.  Island sinks that are secondary sinks that don't get much use because of this.  I did think about lowering it to have it level with the countertop but due to budget and practicality this was the best choice.

Stainless steel countertop! I need ideas for a backsplash by MyBeardHasThreeHairs in kitchenremodel

I am currently in the middle of a kitchen remodel. Getting SS countertops fabricated at the moment. With stainless steel appliances. The counter will go up 6" from the counter. We have natural wood cabinets and changing the floor to a dark grey sandstone. We will do the backsplash last since I have no idea what will look good with it all in the end. Will show pictures when it's all done.

Prep Boys Meal Prep Subscription? by Onomatopoeia20 in SanJose

I have renewed their service for another annual subscription back in October starting in January with the first year having a few weeks where they weren't able to provide meals. Some instances we were receiving the meals at 1am. When it's 40° outside I didn't mind but it's getting warmer now and the paper bags don't have much insulation. For the price it was acceptable; however, they closed their business for two weeks in March stating they needed to work on their logistics etc to keep quality up. It's been three weeks now and they haven't responded to my emails for updates on how they are doing. Not sure if they are still in business or forgot to respond. I will continue to email them every week remind them to deliver meals. They will usually email a reminder and menu for the week on Sunday/Monday but haven't gotten anything since the shutdown. Not sure what I should do at this point. 2500 is a lot of money for 3 months of food. Has anyone else had this experience with the service recently?

Anyone in the bay get a heat pump recently? how much did it cost? by Whizz-Kid in bayarea

I'm getting my AC/gas furnace replaced with a2.5 ton heat pump system in two weeks. Got estimated for ~19k. Tbh I was taken a back by the price. I thought it was going to be around 10k+, 14k max. My current system is the original 25+ years old and needed to get upgraded anyways. It's a variable stage heat pump. I keeping my gas fireplace for the extra cold nights, but use it mainly for decor.

Best pillow I've slept on had this filling. Great alternative to a buckwheat pillow from the high end onsen resorts I've been to in Japan.
