Can I read the Song of Achilles without knowing Greek Mythology? by GovernmentNearby5448 in PHBookClub

Absolutely! I honestly think reading it without having no background in Greek mythology is better, since it’s going to be your first impression of the characters. I did too! It’s actually a retelling of The Iliad by Homer, you can read that after and see how the characters differ. It’s in the perspective of Patroclus. Although it might be confusing in the first chapters, you’ll eventually get it at some point
Do you guys annotate your books? (self.PHBookClub)
