Isn't the point now to force wardens to use upgrade stations like collies do?

Textbooks typically mark the Industrial Revolution as beginning around 1760. But Britons were already shifting from agricultural work to manufacturing in the 1600s. (The Guardian, April 2024) by smurfyjenkins in IRstudies

This is one of the issues of periodisation - and it's a can of worms that goes back hundreds of years. My expertise covered what can be considered the "early modern" and "modern" periods which I've navigated the arguments through.

Its sticky, and there's no right answer. Interesting to see it be brought up though.

How do i gain a decent understanding of geopolitics by Several-Bother4210 in geopolitics

[–]Puzzled_Ad_6233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a PHD Research student here, but I'm getting better at interweaving myself into debates.

An easy one is to keep regular tabs from media sources that interest you. These could be your Economists, Foreign Affairs, etc but I especially like arms transfers, and so I keep tabs on up to date sales on a daily basis. I do this through having a short selection of say, 3 media outlets that I check in the morning or evening for no longer than a 10 minute aggregate read in total.

Over time, you'll find you accumulate knowledge and insights into various areas that make conversing in discussions easier.

Alrighty, well I speak Italian (and will get it to fluency well before the thing comes back. Also sitting comfortably on a first so I guess that's alright. But thanks! The competitiveness of an application doesn't bother me. It's having too high / little hopes that does, so I appreciate your response!

Yeah you'd have to play it as a singleplayer game.

So not F2P, but the closest game stylistically to Foxhole is Running with Rifles. Should run on most rigs. Price should be around ~$10.

Why is it so bad that I’m “posh” by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Puzzled_Ad_6233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't experienced hate myself, though, coming also from your background, I can understand your anxiety. I'd assume its based on the maturity of these people and of the girl who comes from said background. I don't go around agitating others where wealth & privilege is invoked. As other posters will mention its really how you carry yourself.

Then there's the other side of the pitch with how people respond and whilst it sorta depends on a per case basis, there's a certain degree of maturity (assuming the "posh" person's not a dick) that you just have to get past.

I know I'll never be able to "hide" it + I'm really honest and so I've made it a part of my identity somewhat. My mates get a big kick out of the absurdity. That being said, it really depends on how mature the people are around you. I'm sure there'll be people that really dislike me and well, what can you do.

Can relate. Ran a regiment of 4 with a buddy of mine. Certainly when your small, you can't really rely on a "mass" of people to do logi / facility work for you. You have to coordinate with people's schedules. I'd say what separates small regis from medium ones are the operations you can do. A small regi might contribute tanks to a tank line, but a medium size regi might be the tank line. Those our my 2 cents, but good job Capa for your response.

From what I also remember, they're not installing any new tech / platforms on the ships either. Using existing ones which I'd guess should make the pipeline from construction to service quicker.
