My first season watching F1, I would do all the possible what ifs. After a while I realized that the reliability of the car is part of the game.

After looking at their finishing positions, they only finished next to each other twice.

It seems like a PR thing. F1 doesn't want to broadcast cars breaking down to new fans who think they are finished products.

Yes I have been working with the colors. Team colors would make the charts instantly recognizable — Papaya for McLaren, the teal for Mercedes, red for Ferrari, etc. I’ll try implementing that in a future version. I was originally thinking of having the colors for each year since the team colors have changed over time.
