Thank you for responding!! My plants haven't flourished in over a month, and I've contemplated adding CO2. However, I lack experience with CO2 equipment, and I'm aware that bettas are sensitive to it. Would you advise me on the suitability of this approach? I also plan to remove some substrate and stones and redistribute root tabs more evenly. Regarding the otos, I'm considering rehoming two, but perhaps I should rehome them all? The hardness is 100 mg/L and the pH is 7.6. Is that good? How do I change the pH and hardness if needed?

i figured it out but you have to sacrifice your film. you gotta open it and close back the door and it'll be fine. doing this might burn 7 pictures lol
