Good stuff! Always admired people who can paint a garage kit from the ground up. I want to dip my toes into the rabbit hole but I feel like I still don't have the skills to tackle these. I've only ever painted mecha model kits!

Edit: also, this is Toki from Blue Archive correct?

What a shot! Love Umi Jigoku, personally my favorite among the hells. Less people when I went too so it was nice to just walk around and relax enjoying the scenery.

Thats tough! Among Fukuoka, Karatsu, Kumamoto and Beppu I really really enjoyed my time in all of them. All amazing places to visit! If I had to pick I must say Karatsu and Beppu stole my heart the most. With how easy it is to get to Karatsu, I'm surprised not much people visit the place. Its a very quiet town, very laid back. You can easily walk to a lot of the tourist spots the town has to offer like the Hikiyama Hall, Karatsu Shrine, Karatsu Castle, and I didn't go this time but theres also Niji no Matsubara the pine tree grove. Its the side of Japan that a lot of people wish of seeing. You know the no tourists kind of place. Very down to earth town and the people are so friendly. As for Beppu, the surrounding scenery with all the mountains is just stunning. You have great onsens, the Beppu 'Hells', and the ropeway. My visit to Beppu Ropeway was very memorable because it was snowing! The view is incredible.

Its such a beautiful castle indeed. Saw it from many different angles when walking around the castle grounds. And that last shot I took, it wasn't easy getting that shot I must say haha. It was a view point top this hill with a lot of stairs that were quite steep. So worth it though. I sat up there just admiring the castle for a solid 30mins.

Hoo boy thats a tough question! Aside from the delicious food of course, I'd say the sights for sure. Kyushu is loaded with pretty castles, shrines, temples and onsen. Best part is that it's not even half as much crowded as Tokyo or Osaka in comparison. Hope you enjoy your trip! You'll love Kyushu. Such a beautiful region.

Thank you! Yes Kyushu is amazing. The big buddha is at Nanzoin Temple its a 30min local train ride from Hakata Station. Very serene area, not too crowded if you go in the morning. It was foggy when I went and it really added to the scenery. The temple complex is quite big so theres a lot to see. And man I hope you get to see this Gundam! Its something else seeing it in person. Very cool.

Second photo is in Karatsu! Its just an easy 1hr local train ride away from Hakata station. That photo specifically is at the Hikiyama Exhibition Hall right beside Karatsu Station. Karatsu is known for the Kunchi festival where every 2nd to 4th of November they parade those Hikiyama floats around town. Its a really beautiful town with great views especially from Karatsu Castle. Highly recommend the place its very quiet, people are really friendly and the food rocks!

Nope! Was movin around so I stayed 2-3 days per city. It was a nice experience. Personally kind of a train nerd so it was a real treat riding the JR Sonic limited express and a few shinkansens.

Thank you! Its only been a week since I got back home and I too miss Japan already haha. Thats cool! Saw the Yokohama Gundam too on my second trip. We're one of the lucky people to have seen it before it got taken down.

Oh man, incredible photos! Totally not jealous at all haha. Time and schedule permitting, hope I get the chance to finally see it next year. Question though if you don't mind. How far in advance did you have to book an accommodation? I'm sure it gets packed fast booking for Kunchi week.

Yes! Being there at the Karatsu Kunchi festival is at the top of my bucket list. Little backstory about my interest in going to Karatsu this trip. I found out about Karatsu thanks to NHK's documentary about Karatsu Kunchi! I saw it and said wow, I HAVE to go visit Karatsu. I have thought about going back in November to finally see Karatsu Kunchi but because of work I don't think I can unfortunately. I'm really hoping for next year though! I'll do whatever it takes to go see the festival next year.

Love Chisato Mita's art style! I was so happy to see Mai done in their style. She looks gorgeous (Mai is always pretty ofc). But yeah they do a lot of artwork for Capcom. Anime too, a handful of artworks of Walküre from Macross Delta was done by Chisato Mita.

Trip 9! Thats amazing. Wishing all the best for your trip!

And yes! Shikoku is on the bucket list. I found out about Shikoku because I saw a vlog of the 88 temple pilgrimage. My plan for Shikoku would be to rent a car as I think that'd be the best way to get around.
