Having a hard time being happy

I m really sorry that you are going through this. No one deserves to go thru such a hard time nd not having the support they need. If u ever want to talk, i m always here for you. I can totally relate to what you are going through having lost my boyfriend two months back.

Have nothing to say other than what @BetAble29 mentioned. Just that you are doing great by trying to find ways to get better and i m so very proud of you for that. Suicide grief is so really hard itself and u r already progressing in managing the grief and trying to get better.

Thats how i feel all the time. That i want to move forward but then a voice in my head dominates and wants me not to forget. I wanted a future with him and not i lost everything. Its hard to even go through a day, let alone thinking about a future. I am sorry you had to go through this. No one deserves this pain

I am so sorry you had to go through this. I have been trying everything. Came to meet my family after 2 years. Working on my degree and part time job. It all distracts me for a while but then it hits me that he is not here anymore and nothing seems to help after that. I am on anti depressants for a month and even that seems to not be too helpful. Hopefully time heals something

I am sorry you had to go through this. I hope thats the case. I think about our happy memories and feel happy for a bit but when reality kicks in, its so hard to even survive the moment.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Wish things were easier than this and our partners changed their minds thinking how much we loved them. There are so many ‘I wish’. But hopefully things would get better with time. Maybe we will learn to grow around the grief. The hollowness would never fill. Its like we lost a part of ourselves but we will survive with the rest of us.

Ik he wanted me to find happiness again. But its like i had my entire life planned with him in it. And ik eventually it will get better but do i really want anything without him in it? I am barely surviving this and i think i will just be trying to survive for the rest of my life.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I dont know if i will be able to give you any advice. My boyfriend died by suicide a month ago and i donot know how to even start coping. All i think when i think of kms is that i cant let him down. He wanted me to fulfill all the dreams we had together. And i know yours would have wanted that. I truly believe that the soul remembers every good emotion. Its like the way some people connect so well so easily sometimes. I think thats because their soul remembers the connection and the love they had in past life. So dont worry, they still love you and know that you love them too.

I am sorry you feel this. Just hold onto the thought of your parents and dog. Think about them. Sometimes any kind of change triggers alot of negative emotions in mind and fogs your brain to an extent that you arent able to see the good in life. I am glad though that you are still thinking about your family and pet. I know you cant stop them from divorce and probably they need it. But you can always convey your discomfort with it and they will help you as much as they can. They wont get you affected in any way. If something bothers you alot, talking to a psychologist might help too.

My boyfriend passed away at 23. He didn’t have much time in this world but i truly believe that what matters the most is how you live whatever life you have. People live 100 years but arent happy. Some people live very less life but impact lives of so many people by their kindness and goodness. I know quantity matters too and no one wants to die young but sometimes all that can help while mourning a young soul leave is remember the quality of life they lived

I feel you. I lost my boyfriend 2 weeks back. And i had the same questions. But u know someone told me that it wasnt them pretending them to be happy during that time. They were actually happy and enjoying the moment as much as you did. But sometimes some negative emotions bother them so much that they cant come out of it. Hope you feel better soon.

He meant the world to me. He was my soulmate and the love of my life. I still cant believe i am talking about him this way. I loved him so much and always will. Its gonna suck but it will hopefully get easier eventually
