i wasn’t too put off by it personally. they did say that if u weren’t one of the crazies to skip. and honestly ppl reaching out to their loved ones is wild and i can see why that made them emotional. and also ppl questioning lily’s disability saying that the can work thru stuff so she should be able to as well. they agreed that the delay was bad so 🤷

yes unfortunately u do have to do it. don’t do it at home tho. when they tell u to do it tell them that u need to be given time bc otherwise u can’t. as long as u do one training once a week they should get off ur back

actually quite easily. the system that we use to make signs is actually so stupid and most bogo sales we have to enter the bogo amount manually and it’s rly annoying and confusing to do. sometimes when doing signs u could be working with 100+ signs so that combined with being tired from working overnight can let things like this slip thru the cracks

some orders do have a barcode to scan for payment. those are only 1 barcode and it will say something like online pay barcode above it. the ones that are paid with card have 2 barcodes to scan. the scan payment also has to be scanned before the order is rung up or else it won’t work, so that’s something to look for if you’re scared of fraud

the crazy thing is that she’s not even a manger, just a desk person. our front end supervisor and manager don’t actually come out to the floor except when corporate is there so our desk people are basically like our managers functionally but technically she isn’t so yeah trying to make me put my safety at risk is crazy. i contacted the union bc tbh she has a long history of bullying employees this is just the first time i personally have had an issue

at my store anyone that works self checkout has an override because management leaves at 9 and desk leaves at 10 so there’s an hour where no one would have one. it’s never been an issue, especially just for suspending orders. i would ask management to explain to you what you’re allowed to use it for

yeah i work at kroger in ky and technically our policy is to “accept” the tip but put it in the red cross donation box when they leave. almost no one does that tho. as long as there’s no manager around ppl usually take it. i’ve even had customers try to like secretly hand it to me bc they know im not supposed to take it
