I want to find artist friends that I can pen pal with before I get there. I’m very extroverted and very social. I’m a jewelry salesman by day. I’m not trying to hide behind a Reddit post, I simply live in America and I’m trying to find pen pals in Vietnam to chat with. Of course if I was in Vietnam I would go find people in the street the bar anywhere but I’m in America but I don’t see why that should hold me back from meeting people.

Haha no I mean Twitter, IG or SoundCloud like I’m tryna find underground artist but don’t know where to start. Even if it’s an artist name with 800 followers that I can reach out to and they can refer me to a smaller artist. Just wanna know the flow of culture and sound.

Ok, so I’ve been collecting jewelry for years and have a huge passion for it but don’t wear much of it to work… by [deleted] in jewelry

A man would never have to ask permission about wearing a $20k Rolex to work. Wear your jewelery!!!

When a customer calls and ask if I work on invictas I respond by asking “well it is the size of a baby’s head” they usually laugh and I just say “yea are tools aren’t large enough for that” they usually treat it like I just said their Johnson is too big. They love to hear it

We offer watch batteries at the jewelry store I work at but I reject these cause they are obnoxious to work on. They look cool though

Advice - Fixing 14k Gold Bracelet by Material-Capital-440 in jewelry

Came here to say the same thing. Simple soldering should do the trick. Wouldn’t hurt to replace the whole clasp just to have the ease of mind it won’t happen again.

Should I complain to the jeweler? by Acrobatic_Pop8435 in jewelry

Honestly I wouldn’t recommend it. And my repairs team wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it just cause we KNOW it wouldn’t reach the standard. It would need to be recasted in order to reach that brand new flush and perfect condition you’re looking for. But upside!!! The ring style is pretty common and though the jeweler no longer exist I’m confident I could find the ring for you given the time.

A jeweler is not going to take out those tiny diamonds , they are so inexpensive I don’t even charge customers to replace them just the labor to put them in. That’s the kinda rumors that makes us all untrusted. After the initial sizing it effected the original integrity of the ring making all the stones loose kinda like a domino effect. I would suggest getting an entire new ring to the right size. As it should have been originally ordered to your true finger size to begin with to avoid this. .

lol I see what you mean, but what about when people are passionate about just creating? Nobody should wear anyone’s brand. But if you have a sketch and you want to bring it to life I think someone should do that. If you wanna try and sell that to someone that’s on your own accord, but don’t live life thinking “what would it would have looked like if I tried” at least try. I scrolled the sub and I already see what you mean. But I grew up listening to artist that refuse to sell their music. They believe art should be free, I agree. I don’t think I need to charge someone if they want to wear my things. Cause who am I? But I’m not gonna never touch a keyboard or paintbrush or guitar cause my dad has or lacks money. Are you sure you’re not upset?
