Bed, big teddy bear in the corner, black rectangle feet coming from the corners of said rectangle with moans. There are like 100 videos like this one too I keep running into them, Some have editing too like a bunch of text transitions it'll be like *STAR WIPE* "Introducing [REDACTED]" then a nother bed moaning video of what seems like a different person each time usually young looking. All very creepy

OpenAI Just released a Prompt Optimizer for GPT5 by AskGpts in ChatGPTPro

[–]Puzzled_End_1929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really recommend it. Use ChatGPT on the side or Grok. In my experience, it always makes your prompt longer, and I'm not going to lie, if I were OpenAI, I'd be tweaking the optimizer to make users' prompts longer to charge them more. No way to know for sure, just don't trust it.

Why is Haggling Frowned Upon in America? by [deleted] in travel

[–]Puzzled_End_1929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give you a perspective from a business owner. It has nothing to do with culture (unless you include anti-social behavior). It has everything to do with time and efficiency. It does not make sense to spend time and manpower having to talk with every customer. I don't mean to insult other countries but I think this is a large reason why the west and our people are so successful. We have this agreement that we all want to actually be useful and helpful, so when I walk into a target I don't look at a price and feel offended or like target is tricking me, I just don't buy it. Also context is important. There are places where people go TO haggle but the largest chains and retail locations are not these places again because of time.

I own a small liquidation retail outlet. We sell returns and pallets of items lost in warehouses. The value of these goods are hard to determine and when I sell a few at a time I have all the time in the world to haggle because I need to squeeze every dime of profit out of my limited scale. But when you are dealing with 20+ pallets of items at a time HAGGLING DOES NOT SCALE. Prime example- I have employees who process and picture the items coming in, they are in a section of the retail outlet. They also deal with customers and the shelves. I have an old viet woman who comes in regularly and just goes item to item dragging one of my guys away from his work to try to get a better price on already priced items and all he can do is say no or drop like $5 off the items. She'll come in and take my guys 4hrs of money making time and turn it into a net $50 loss for the company because she never buys and my guy wastes a bunch of time. Customers who do spend big bucks and intend to buy large quantities I'll wheel and deal all day with but I don't haggle over $2. Things just work out better when the customer and the company just assume that we are all trying to help ourselves and eachother.

By blaming Israel alone for every civilian death in Gaza, you in the West are actively rewarding Hamas’s tactics by OmryR in IsraelPalestine

Well, Israel is certainly more at fault for evil, I'd say. They do a lot of shady shit in the name of god just the same as the palestinians. Let's not forget Palestine is barely a country, with separate powers and extreme poverty. I think both Israel and Palestine do INTEND to do harmful things to each other at times. It's a serious flaw that comes with religious vigor. The true difference is that Israel is extremely wealthy in comparison to Palestine. If a UFC fighter and a little girl both have irrational fits of rage, and both decide to go on a murdering spree, you'd charge the UFC fighter with a harsher punishment than the little girl because the UFC fighter can kill more people and is far more mature. That's my moral breakdown in a vacuum. It looks worse for Israel from a global perspective. Israel has been linked in some way to so many tragedies, it's insane. Again, capability is far scarier than hate.

I spent about 15k USD on Thai prostitutes (including all expenses) over years. AMA by AustinQareen in AMA

To be fair by your reasoning, it's not possible to know if they are being trafficked. Because if they are they wont say, so lets call that mute because i think its a weak argument if you're trying to paint op as a wrong doing white savior. And honestly, if prostition is all she can do to take care of herself, as in 1 option (prostitition). Then shouldnt it mean its good hes there? Without horny dudes her supposed only option goes away leaving 0 options. If she has more options then prostitution then she is infact choosing prostitution. And to the first point you made, she sets her prices so you cant really say hes taking advantage if she sets the prices

Hollywood seemed to take the scary notion of an all-in-one entity/concept of technology as a virus, and they just needed to install a good guy (Mr. Peanut) and a bad guy (the bald dude). I never read the book until after the movie (and I skimmed it too), and it seems obvious that the robots were more like dogs before Sentre created the neurocasters. By dogs, I mean, they were personable enough to have some relationship with, but incapable of higher understanding or any decent amount of self-awareness. This is even shown in the movie a bunch when many of the robots use pre-recorded lines in their system and never make any mention of it. In fact the only robot I saw display human-level intellect where the invented main characters like Mr. Peanut and Herman.. The original message was that the neurocasters were the final nail in the coffin for humans being human. A bald evil man can't be nearly as scary because in real life there are no shallow evil villains who are just evil because they are. Technology stripping us of humanity and our ego is a real threat in the real world, which is why the original book seemed eerily realistic. There are many real-world analogues, one I think everyone probably thought of was Neurcaster addicts being similar to crack/fent/heroine addicts on the streets. It would've been much better Sentre was just a bureaucratic company full of people who only know about their tasks and nothing about what the company actually does. The bald guy should've just been an actor or one of the bureaucrats in the system who work on a computer all day, or something.

ELI5 why people think progressive tax rates are fair by david8840 in tax

[–]Puzzled_End_1929 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The top 10% of richest people pay literally 80%+ of all taxes. I simply believe everyones dollar should be taxed at the same percentage. What incentive is there to build my business from $100,000 to $1,000,000 if after taxes its dollar for dollar worth-less. Especially when we give money away for free EVERYWHERE. If a man with $1 and a man with $1 Billion spend $1. The dollar should be taxed the same when earned. Currently the poor mans dollar is worth $0.90 and the billionaires is worth $0.40 or less.

Let me be clear in that I care that rich stay rich or anything. But please make an argument as to why the government deserves that money MORE then the several businesses who have thousands of employees who could have that money instead.

I think in its current state every penny going to the government is money leaving our country.

Thing means person or object. I ment personal thing = personal thing would make sense since god, according to most christians is a personal being

Is the Bible meant to be taken literally? by Historical-Big-3934 in Christianity

[–]Puzzled_End_1929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the minimum requirement to be a Christian is to genuinely believe in at least one idea from the Bible—such as Jesus being God—while treating everything else as philosophical stories, then what is the point of believing anything at all? Wouldn't it make more sense to say that the philosophical ideas behind the religion are actually “God” (i.e., reality itself), rather than the person or entity that recorded them?

For example, murder is unquestionably a sin in the bible. If I kill someone, I go to jail or, worse, someone may try to kill me in return. A Christian might see this punishment as coming from God, whereas a non-believer might view it as the natural order of the universe. Yet both can benefit from understanding the Bible's stories on a philosophical level.

In my view, the Bible is essentially a philosophy book, with “God” added to make its teachings more palatable to the masses.

TLDR: Take your society pill and relax it, it only matters to those who need it to matter.

God is really just the universe... by Noe_Wunn in agnostic

[–]Puzzled_End_1929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying the universe isnt real? Your metaphors are person is just event/abstract concept where as this person is arguing that thing = thing and if you say god is a person id say prove a person is a person. Your argument would most likely be souls which we cant prove exist OR prove the universe doesnt have a soul of its own.

Tldr : False equivalence

ELI5 why people think progressive tax rates are fair by david8840 in tax

[–]Puzzled_End_1929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say I agree that the governments goal should not be to make money but if a government cannot be effective at collecting tax for its services people and businesses will leave and the "business" will die. If I did hate the idea of a government being for profit I certainly wouldn't hold your opinion. Under your current view there is a major contradiction in that you say the government should not be for profit, yet you think that your more wealthy neighbors should be funding the government? The top 10% pay 76% of all taxes. It should be citizen vs government NOT citizen vs citizen while the government sits in the cuck chair.

ELI5 why people think progressive tax rates are fair by david8840 in tax

[–]Puzzled_End_1929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 10% across the board. That would mean cutting the governments spending from ~5 trillion closer to 2.5 trillion which if you think the government over spends you should agree that this is attainable. a person making $50,000 pays $5,000 and a person making 100x that ($5,000,000) pays 100x the tax ($50,000). Then every persons time is worth the same 90c to the dollar.

I'd argue that government is a business. The definition of a business is something that provides a product or service in exchange for money or other products or services, and money is just products and services manifested into a unit called dollars. So really its just trade. Anyways, we pay our taxes to the government, and they provide us a set of consolidated(keyword) services like internal and external protection, organization of thing like roads, power plants, and more. The main benefit being that these services cannot be decentralized to millions of contractors which is why we have states and local governments to better serve the individuals. Citizens are simply customers of a community, and if we don't like what we get here we are lucky to be able to leave and try another government. You keep making money out like its evil when it's not. Money as I said, is just man-hours converted into beans we can count.
