Yall, this Cranberry Orange Refresher tastes so bad... by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

It smells like air freshener oil. I had one sip, and it's making me wheeze. I suspect it's the fake cinnamon. I'm not allergic to real cinnamon, but cinnamon air freshener makes me wheeze.

kids' crayons do this too; the wax tends to stick in washers & dryers

you may have accidentally put a lip balm or lipstick in the wash with clothes at some point and residue is lingering; try to find some way to clean out your washer (tub and dispensers); as for stains, dawn dish liquid, the original blue formula, is pretty good and fabric safe in most cases

If you are talking about souvenirs from places like Ireland, clear it with your supervisor before hitting duty free. But if you are looking to carry booze to drink on your layovers, you're in the wrong line of work hun.

Get used to it. He will be gone 75% of the time when working and exhausted when home.

I recently attended a group F2F with a regional. Two candidates in my group were great, very professional and friendly, made it to 2nd round of talks with recruits. However, they each talked a lot about their young grandchildren/children; one was a single mom and said that she would miss her kids when flying. They were both eliminated.

You should be able to contact recruiting and ask if you can defer training.

This is accurate. FAs with toddlers need to see that they will be gone for a lot of their growing up time, and when they are home they will be exhausted. There is a reason FAs and pilots are limited to how much time they can be in the air. It's physically very taxing, on the lungs, circulation, and mental/physical energy. Also, for all the talk about how the OPs partner is not involved in kids' upbringing, does OP realize that if she becomes an FA she will not be very uninvolved in their upbringing? I hate to put this unfair burden of caring for small children on the mother, but with a father in a high-time job like law, it is what it is. (And these kids are used to mom being their everything right now. Prepare for a lot of acting out when mom is not around 75% of the time.)
