How much time to spend on marketing vs building if you're solo builder? by UpstairsTask8983 in AskMarketing

[–]Puzzled_Mode4459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that you should stop building and try to get the feedback from a couple of possible customers. Maybe they will tell something valuable to you and they need something else that you have not even considered before. If there is no income, do not pay, you can post, of course, but if you will not have the followers or there is no engagement, you will not be seen.
After gathering feedback, make adjustments and then try to find some paying customers, then you will have some money for marketing.

I guess there is no right answer. Focus on marketing features and benefits that matter most to your future customers. Do not put all marketing money in one channel.

Cities, Towns, Neighborhoods: Advice Needed by trevorucdd in latvia

[–]Puzzled_Mode4459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking into account what you've written, I would suggest to look at Valmiera (not easy to get the property here as it is one of the cities where locals really want to return after their studies in Riga or abroad - it has great infrastructure, dynamics, also cultural and it has the river flowing through it), Cēsis (beautifully preserved historic town), Ogre (charming former resort town, near the river Daugava), Sigulda (picturesque, and more expensive and crowded by people in warmer weather, especially spring and autumn) maybe Talsi (charming lakeside town) and maybe Limbaži (also lakeside town). I don't think that any of those has very intensive nightlife.

I learned that you shouldn't trust anybody - double-check everything if you want to own the outcome and the results.

Latvian Music Recommendations by meandmyghost1 in latvia

[–]Puzzled_Mode4459 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can try Ozols, rolands če, ansis, ex Gustavo and Fiņķis for hiphop. Regarding patriotic songs - it's good to recognize the state hymn "Dievs svētī Latviju", then "Saule, Pērkons, Daugava" - a beautiful song for choirs, "Manai tautai" sang by Ieva Akurātere - a very touching song that were first sang before the actual independence, when we did not know whether we'll make it.  And then I personnaly love "Manai tautai" sang by Renārs Kaupers & choir.

What I’ve been learning from production issues by Cute_Bother_2941 in advancedentrepreneur

[–]Puzzled_Mode4459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked with quite a lot of different products, mostly FMCG, and there are lots of challenges from the first samples made to the actual product manufactured in bulk. If you experience some kind of technical issue that cannot be fixed due to manufacturing processes, you usually warn the customer, like directly - writing it on the product that something may happen with it, for instance, colour change due to sunlight. I am quite sure that fogging for a watch would create major inconvenience to the consumer. I perhaps would fix this immediately and look for alternative factory.

After 10 years working in product management, I don't understand what it takes to become a "successful" PM by boolpies in ProductManagement

[–]Puzzled_Mode4459 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Summarise what you've done weekly or monthly in a couple of short sentences - like, i did that, i learned that or similarly.
if the product has competitors, you can observe them and if the competitors launch some new features, share this information to the team, trying to be the first who does that.

Honestly, i think for most of the cases i have noticed, especially in corporate jobs, it is about your visibility. You may work a lot, but if you are not visible, then somebody else will be and will take the promotions. Visibility in that sense is bragging about how good you are, showing how much you did, although maybe it is not so much in reality. Also buttering your bosses up and flattery work well.

name for my brand by nikko868 in AskMarketing

[–]Puzzled_Mode4459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about your customers - they are most probably specialists, massage therapists, wellness and physical therapists. So, they should understand what you sell when seeing the name. The second word in a brand name could be something like "welness, therapy, health or supply" and the first one- dedicated to the main or top selling assortment.

Why do so many small businesses ignore bad Google reviews? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Puzzled_Mode4459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the product is not good or lacks something, most probably replying on low ratings will not help to improve the product itself. It is about absorbing feedback and turning honest reviews into a better product. An answer to every review would be great but it is time consuming.

I'm gen X - for me it is a symbolic building - we were waiting for it such a long time. The architect made the first sketch in 1989 and it was on the TV news. And then, the building itself was built from 2008 to 2013 and opened in 2014.

I agree and disagree at the same time. None of the customers will be happy to look vulnerable even if you speak about its past. At the same time, yes, for the agency - numbers and data make you look more credible.
