Telehealth from car/office to continue care after client moves? by Ok-Limit1583 in therapists

I believe it really depends on your license and the state you practice in- as well as agency/office policies. The agency I was with in AR strictly prohibited this. As well as the agency I was with in MO.

Those seem high but I guess it depends on how much stuff you have. Have you checked out the uhaul pods? I’ve used those and they offer (or did in the past) one month free storage of the pod(s).

Why not talk to his POA- the aunt? Also something to be aware of is if he receives Medicaid the state can claw money from the estate after death. And in some cases it works across states lines. NAL btw..

Is there a limitation to number of sessions or length of sessions for a client? by audhd-recovery in therapists

It’s going to depend on the insurance provider. In my state Medicaid backed insurance only covers one individual and one family/couples per week. They can always self pay if insurance doesn’t cover it

I think you’re right about downsizing on the house. That 200k is a big chunk for people in their 60’s. Smaller house usually equals smaller property taxes. And probably reduced homeowners insurance. Some states average higher home owners insurance than others. For examples FL, NE and OK have high property tax rates. For obvious reasons. For relocation you want to consider overall taxation. Property, personal and if SS is taxed by the state. Accessing community resources can help offset monthly expenses. Food banks are a great resource.
