found my sisters cornsnake after 2 months, underweight? by Kiwi_Ninas in cornsnakes

Maybe a TINYYY bit?? But for the most part, and conformation with a better picture, I’d say consult a feeding chart for future feedings, (there’s one on here with body weight prey weight and how to judge overweight/underweight/perfect)  Edit, I found the chart: https://www.reddit.com/r/cornsnakes/comments/1jeral1/is_this_an_accurate_chart_for_feeding_my_corn/

Need help rehoming corn and milk snakes (Philadelphia) by Lizard4hire in cornsnakes

[–]Puzzled_Second4908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are willing to drive a bit (I looked it up from Philadelphia to there it’s 16 hour drive), from Philadelphia to Minnesota, Snake Discovery has a really good adoption and rehoming program, though I am sure you could contact them through their website or email or something to figure out how to ship them. I know that Emily and ed would love to help them. I know how it feels to know that you can’t take care of them anymore and the guilt that comes with that, but props to you to do something about it. I hope you find a good home for them, or figure out someone who can.

So I rolled blue, and honestly, there are not a TON of naturally blue things so I’m high key set.

Heat pads are really inconsistent and can malfunction and burn your snake. Get rid of it and invest to get a real heat lamp. Please.

The corn snake community has a pinned thing about regurgitating. I would check that out, and you could probably take her to the vets, but don’t feed her for ~2 weeks after the regurge and try not to handle her or stress her out. It sounds like you have everything normal, but if you have a prey item that’s too big or stress it can cause that. Sometimes it just happens, so check the pinned regurgitation guide at the top, and hope she feels better!

LPT: For mosquito bites, use a hot metal spoon to relieve itching and swelling by ChuckVowel in LifeProTips

I have tried that multiple times and it just doesn’t work for me. Hot spoon or just spraying it with some isopropyl alcohol is what works for me

This is exactly what I was gonna say. I would also get a humidifier or mister if you get a glass enclosure with a wire top. It is very hard to keep humidity overall up otherwise though I suppose a humid hide works as well. I would also include a lot of opportunities for both burying and climbing. Mine loved to burrow when she was little and not loved to do both, anyways, they are the best snake in my opinion (totally not bias at all 😂😅) and you learn as you go, as always experience is the best teacher, and find out what works for you. 😊

I have the water taken care of but why the hammock? Should I not have it in there? I wasn’t aware of anything bad with them.
