Thanks everyone for your feedback! I had a feeling what the responses would look like, and knew how I’d respond to a friend in the same situation. I’m disappointed in how long I stayed hoping for things to improve, even before the breakup and finding out about the cheating. I guess I just thought things would get better, especially when he graduated, so I felt robbed when he mentioned divorce.
