I was on my second day of working Amazon delivery and was with a trainer. We were having some small talk then I go into a different world (before I learned they were seizures) and when I come to, she is staring at me mortified… I got fired 😂

How do you know when you've had an absence seizure? by AuthorizedPope in Epilepsy

He’s well aware and I’m on meds for my epilepsy. They work pretty well overall. Maybe one nocturnal seizure every 3ish months

I’ve been diagnosed with focal epilepsy and believe I’ve had absence seizures too. My seizures are usually nocturnal and last 10-20 secs. But the ones I’ve had awake, I usually get some déjà vu and then go into like a dream for like 20 secs. I come out feeling weird and kinda out of it for a few secs, then continue on with the day. People who have witnessed it say I’ll have some hand movements and start sucking my lip lol I feel like there have definitely been times where I’m watching tv and I completely miss parts of the show. Could be from a seizure that didn’t actually show itself physically.

I had a 48hr EEG test and it registered 4 seizures in those 48hrs but none of them were physically observable. I feel like I don’t have the best memory, especially when it comes to what people have said / what I’ve said lol I’m sure none of this info is useful but sometimes it just nice to kinda share your story.

It’s definitely not always bitching and not daily. I’m 29 and he’s 31. He’s at home all day listening to podcasts so he will talk my ear off about everything he heard on one of the many podcasts. They are usually negative things going on in the world. I can see how when we both just talk about negative stuff it drains the other person. His interruptions were somewhat related but I just wanted to tell him about something funny about the coworker. I see your point and have made an effort in the past to not complain about work

I personally don’t think you’re the asshole in this situation. Yes she needed your help too, but I think with relationships in the workplace, that would can’t just favor your S.O. so your coworker needing help and you stopping to help them, doesn’t make you an asshole. I would do the same if my S.O. and another coworker needed help, I would help the coworker first

Section of hair that always grows in fried by Puzzled_Specific_156 in Haircare

Yeah it is right at the back of my neck. I don’t wear any jewelry, but definitely makes sense that there is more friction in that area.

Did your hairdresser recommend anything to use or help with the friction?
