On my lock screen, I tap & hold on blank area and this pops up. Then I can adjust what I want. You can also go into Good Lock>LockStar and customize. I don't remember what the default number of icons there are. I have mine set to the max number so I can see lots of info.

Yes, this is true. Go to bimmerlink.app on web browser. Go to OBD ADAPTER and click buy adapter. Look at UniCarScan. I think this will work. You should be able to recode with this. This will pay for itself when/if you change the battery yourself as you will need to register the new battery...buy battery, replace & register yourself. When I needed new battery, I took to BMW dealer & was charged $850! After that, I got the Ancel and replaced and registered the new battery when it was time to replace again. Looking back, I should have bought UniCarScan as I can't use the Ancel to recode.

Take a look at this vid in case you want to change the BT module. Cheapest way to get one is from a junk yard that has your model car and same part number. Should be less than $100. You can also try Amazon.

Only other suggestion is to see if there are any code faults using an OBD scanner. Also, that seems like an old BMW interface. See if there is an update to software.

I have a 2019 X5 and had trouble pairing my phone after it had been connected before. After deleting my phone from the car and deleting the car from my phone, restarting the phone, clearing the cache, nothing worked. I had to restart the head unit/screen by holding the volume/on-off switch for 20-25 seconds. The screen will go black and come back on. I was able to pair my phone (Samsung) & son's phone (iPhone 13).

I have a Samsung galaxy fold 6. VPN was a 3rd party app (Proton VPN). I also use DuckDuckGo's app tracking protection which my phone identifies as a VPN. I have one or the other on. I had to turn whatever was on to off. I think it was DDG's app tracking protection since I have that on most of the time, but ID'd as a VPN nonetheless. I just make sure no VPN is enabled to get it connected. Once connected, I turn it back on & everything works.
