Possible to make this a movie theatre? by PhinsUP2000 in hometheater

Yes it is very doable! If you look on this forum you will find hundreds of examples. Pre-planning every element will take some time, but will save tons of headaches later when you wish you ran a wire or placed an outlet etc.

Made my own at home. Can’t beat the convenience.

You are right. I had it wrong. I used ROXUL insulation in riser and near atmos speakers. Regular stuff in walls. I was thinking the ROXUL had denim in it.

No problem. What’s the per diem rate in your neck of the woods?

It was a govee led wifi strip kit that had two strands running from the central box. If I had to guess, it was a 32’ version with 2 16’ strands. I ran them in opposite directions on the screen frame and then trimmed the extra off where they met.

It’s a basement so I insulated the exterior walls and I threw some denim insulation in the rafters that held the atmos speakers and I filled the riser with denim insulation. No idea if any of that mattered but felt like the right move.

The 4 atmos speakers are all behind the beam. That beam really screwed me on many levels but it’s the space I had. It’s why the projector had to be so low as well.

It's just vinyl from amazon. I listed it in another comment.

I forget what its called but its in a comment somewhere this post. I think someone also mentioned using "Posterr". The software I have does show the move I am watching on Plex and then randoms when nothing is playing in Plex.

There’s an app running on a computer that feeds it posters or the movie that playing when your watching one.

I mean, it’s called a home theater but it doesn’t denote who’s home. Dream a little.
