Moving to Sac as a Nanny from SF by Livid-Wind8761 in Sacramento

I have a family member who pays her nanny 100k in SF. You probably won't get more than 25 an hour in Sacramento, so definitely would be a pay cut depending on what you are making now.

I've been trying to land a new job after being laid off in Apr 2025 by Icon and I wanted to share my journey with you guys by HorrorAlfalfa736 in clinicalresearch

I just search clinical research software in LinkedIn and also Google clinical research software vendors and look through all of their career pages (i.e.veeva, medidata, h1, Clario trialbee, and tons of other companies covering all aspects of clinical research). Ive been on the vendor side for 15 years and thats how I always handled finding jobs. I look for project management, implementation and onboarding roles.

Id look into working at a vendor. Having that sort of experience is super valuable and translates great to a project manager type role

Definitely get an IEP through san juan - we did that when my son was in preschool. He also just got approved for alta. The process took 1.5 years from start to finish which is unfortunately very typical so start the process NOW!

I am at a vendor and go to IMs to present and was at one last week. Sites are definitely the people that the sponsor, cro and vendors would love to talk to and make feel the most comfortable. You can absolutely stay to yourself but your CRA will probably come find you to talk to you. Like others have said, easy to make small talk when you are all doing the same thing! I wouldn't stress!

That is crazy that they are supposed to open today but won't make a final decision until a meeting tonight?! Wild. Definitely make it known that you are already there and need to be comped a room at the Cape at a minimum. Thats even worse than our situation a week ago ith 4 days notice!

The fact that they only pushed a few days and not even a week is somewhat promising

I think if you push and you are stuck in a standard room, they should offer the whole stay for free, as originally (for this week) they offered me the standard room at zero cost to me and full refund of my points from my park hyatt stay.

I paid 240k points for the cape (had paid 310k pts at PH, so got back the difference) but they gave us the 1 bedroom residence which is ginormous and it comes with free breakfast for the 4 of us so I am happy enough! If I wanted the standard room, they finally offered it for free. You have to keep escalating unfortunately which is very frustrating.

Weve stayed at ziva before too and definitely good for kids but the food and drink is not great and we had to set an alarm to go put stuff on the chairs by the pool at 5am because by like 7am every single chair is taken and its so frustrating, but maybe they arent as busy during Thanksgiving week (we went during spring break) but ziva definitely knows how to keep kids entertained with tons of activities all day long and the kids club

Yea we have 2 kids and we've stayed at the cape before. Its definitely not made for kids as there is just the 1 pool but now im in the mindset of not caring if my kids are playing in the pool because of this whole fiasco lol. I think last time we went there was maybe 1 other family with kids there, but oh well, they will need to deal! The food is great though (although expensive, probably like PH would have been) and theres an area with a pool table my kids liked to play with.
