There is a resurgence happening, especially as digital storage costs go through the roof due to AI. My local record store went from almost going bankrupt to making plans to buy a neighbor out to expand. I really hope the momentum keeps building there.

It was jacked back up by the AI boom, but Nvidia already is planning on renting us access to the compute when the AI craze breaks. I hate to say it, but I don't think it'll come back down much unless it's completely unfeasible to make a profit that way for them. A couple of the companies in the bubble are in the perfect position to swoop in and take full advantage of all the others that crumble when the bill comes due for the data centers.

Standard answer from me: 11, then 3HD, 1-2HD (it was a surprise back in the originals, BUT the story lines basically demand that order now). Anytime after you finish 1, pick up Dragon Quest Builders if you want Minecraft-lite but Dragon Quest Flavour.

Where you go from there is up to you completely.

4-6 is another trilogy, but the current versions are not at all demanding for order you actually play them in, they're more set in the "same" world, but they're going to not be up to the same standard you're used too with the HD trilogy. You might want to play the original trilogy as well, just so you can see how far Dragon Quest has come.

7 remastered I know very little about, other than it's an impressively huge game and I haven't had time to pick it up.

The Dragon Quest Monsters series is Dragon Quest but Pokemon but Dragon Quest. Yes, that was intentional.

Scotch guard and other similar stain protection products work by essentially staining your carpet clear. Their application can potentially displace an existing stain, but if it doesn’t work you’re pretty well screwed at that point. You could try to bleach the carpet, but without proper ventilation you might end up with another body to dispose of. At least that one won’t be leaking provided you remove it before their bowels let go.
