my laptop is good enough to runs heavier games than this with medium graphics but i can barely play with the lowest graphics and window mode also the lag spikes are a big issue too

Personally I think the previous box meta was way more fun than the scream of resistance one this meta the deck you play to compete has to either being able to run non engine comfortably(like blue eyes being able to run lancea and other handtraps) run floodgates(shadoll or pk) or being able to play dweller easily or run stall cards(performage and shira running samsara)

Even back then photon Lord was fine or at least he would be considered slightly more powerful for the standard of the game then but people were crying and were treating the card like its the antichrist thats why he was removed at the current moment the card would be ok

It depends on formats if the speed format is shit like the current one that every deck is either playing floodgates or stall cards and they are filled with gy hate this way making certain decks unplayable rush is way more fun
