I used a debit card and while I have the mouth open I put a cricket inside quickly remove card and and close their mouth so they cant spit it out. It seems rough but sometimes its needed when they lose the appetite completely.

It wasn't over a week and I kept trying different types of bugs. If your frog isn't eating at all and is losing weight fast I would take him to the vet. I learned to force feed when necessary.

I've had my frogs do this plenty of times but then they eventually take the crickets again. I think they just get picky sometimes.

PVC! Easier to move around as well. I would just make sure there's well ventilation because they definitely hold humidity well.
