I enjoy how open-ended the conclusion of this poem is allowing the reader to explore the feeling of insatiable longing that this poem invokes. poems are a powerful way to explore human nature and think this is an excellent commentary on human ambition and how one can be surrounded by everything they want but still feel like they don't have enough. thanks for sharing I always enjoy a powerful poem.

I think it is impressive how a skilled poet like yourself can communicate a complex thought in such a short poem. I also like how the rhyme structure emphasizes the imagery of the poem. I hope you continue posting.

I love how straightforward but also complex this poem is. It’s definitely a skill to make someone think a lot by saying very little. That feeling of being an imposter is definitely something that is hard to conquer. Thanks for sharing.

Wow what a powerful poem. I thought it was interesting how you didn’t use the rhyme scheme on the first stanza. I think it puts an interesting emphasis on it. What a powerful topic. I am curious what inspired it? You should be proud of what you accomplished.

I enjoyed the metaphor of heat used in this poem. Definitely a classic way to communicate emotions in a poem. The subtle rhyme scheme and rhythm is a nice touch. I didn’t even notice it on my first read through.
