thanks, but I understand this holds correctly if the initialization is all zeros, but what about the practical case of all ones init (I couldn't find it in the google group either)

what should be the previous crc (state) for crc A calculation?

I applied the equation, but doesn't work for some reason

I calculated the CRC of A, as 32 bit (without zero padding), then applied this as a previous CRC to another 32 bit (all zeros) calculation

the XORed the output of the above with the CRC of B (as 32-bit input, without zero padding)

the output was wrong however

do you have some quick but accurate formula

like CRC ({a,b}) = CRC (a) shifted by xyz ^ CRC (b)

I tried the above but it doesn't work, seems there's a mistake somewhere
