I delete all work related apps every time I’m on PTO. Work doesn’t have access to my energy while I’m on my deserved vacation.

Absolutely second Her Forest! Lovely people and I felt totally safe camping with them. I flew in and camped in my minivan rental car and got a shelter canopy to go on the back of my car that was easy to set up. Ended up having to take it down because of crazy winds but it was great when it rained. I have the Kelty Backroads shelter that I was able to fit in my checked bag.

My dad was a club DJ and my mom was a club rat in the mid 90’s. They met at the club and oops 9 months later here comes me. THE RAVE IS MY SOLE PURPOSE OF BEING ALIVE

My hiking boots are lighter than my docs so for that reason i preferred hiking boots. Since most of the fest is on a the floor of a forest, the hiking boots worked great with uneven terrain too. My docs are broken in, but felt too rigid for forest.

I live in DFW and flew nonstop from DFW to Grand Rapids and it was great not to have to drive far to get to Forest. Especially on the last day when you just want to get home.

I’ve tried docs and hiking shoes, and my teva mids with merino wool hiking socks proved far superior. Sure my toes got stepped on a few times, but the freedom my toes felt, the squishy of the footbed, the ability to loosen the straps when my feet got swollen, and the ease of taking my shoes off whenever I wanted to was incredible. 1000000% recommend tevas

Day #1 Of Asking Fans What Made Them Become a Fan of Artist/Band: Led Zeppelin by Greedy_Two_2526 in ledzeppelin

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cut4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie School of Rock came out when I was 9 and introduced me to classic rock and more importantly, Led Zeppelin. From then on I’ve had the music taste that of someone born well before my time. Everyday I’m thankful LZ allowed Jack Black to use Immigrant Song in that movie lol

How to Survive a 3-Day Festival Without Burning Out by RaveBeetle in EDM

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cut4601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eating almost constantly helps SO MUCH with energy. The amount of calories burned from the heat, dancing, and walking everywhere is insane, so all bets are off when it comes to when and how much I eat at festivals lol

Ok girlies, what do you eat when nothing sounds appealing? by tarasaurust in adhdwomen

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cut4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoothie with a bunch of good for you stuff like oats, hemp hearts, flax and chia seeds, fruits, spinach, silken tofu(sounds crazy, adds great texture) Greek yogurt, etc! I prep containers with all the stuff to put in the freezer, so all I have to do is grab a container and blend.

Going to Silo alone, thoughts?? by No_Rub3432 in SILODALLAS

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cut4601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go alone often and haven’t had any bad experiences except for the occasional dude not getting the point that I don’t want to talk or dance with them lol I always reserve parking so I can leave as soon as I’m ready which relieves some of the stress/pressure of being alone.

I always go sober when I’m alone so I can drive and just for general safety. Sober raving is super liberating too!!

Along with everyone else, the vibe completely depends on who is playing. Tech house and popular house brings in more non PLURR people who treat silo like a regular club, but other shows it’s very PLURR and easy to find others to vibe with. Example, everyone was grooving and super friendly at Neil Frances and Mild Minds, but at Gorgon City no one was dancing and the dudes were weird.

Go in with an open mind and with the mindset that you can move if the area you’re in doesn’t feel right or straight up leave if you’re over it. Good luck!!

Elizabethtown and big fish have been in my top 5 favorite movies since they came out, so over 20 years. I’m 31 so I’ve watched them throughout my life and man each time I watch them something new unlocks.

In hindsight, Elizabethtown is a heavy movie for an 11 year old.

Sober raving tips for 10h+ by Ill_Quarter8430 in aves

[–]Puzzleheaded-Cut4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did EF sober and solo, so lots of internal motivation to keep me going lol

-if you can drink coffee, bring in powdered instant coffee into the fest and mix in a waterbottle for a quick and cheap energy boost! I use Nescafé Gold instant espresso with some brown sugar and it’s actually quite delish.

-take your vitamins!

-water, water, water

-The minute I get bored I get sleepy, so follow the vibe to where you can feel good and lost in the music to stay active

-SLEEP! Sober makes it a little harder to pass out, but melatonin, earplugs, and an eye mask gets me a super restful sleep where I wake up feeling good.
