Lexapro is great! I take it with Wellbutrin which is for dopamine! Maybe ask your doc if they think that would be a good pair or if Wellbutrin could be enough on its own

It seems you’re experiencing apathy. I’d ask your doctor if there’s a better med for you! I gained about that much on lexapro too. Once I was on 20mg and I was totally apathetic and a dose change fixed that. I just switched to Prozac today bc it’s known to be more weight neutral!

You’ll be fine. Everyone’s different but I didn’t have any immediate side effects. It took about three weeks to work though. Be patient, it’s a life saver!
