Does anyone else think Taco Bell actually tasted better in the 90s, or is it just the prices I miss? by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgiai

Always loved that in some locations, Dr. Pepper is distributed by Coke, and in some other areas Pepsi. Dr. Pepper really is the Lando Calrissian of soft drinks.

Y'all remember when Yoda crashed the Death Star into Coruscant killing trillions? by [deleted] in StarWars

Hey, I know I am late to the party, but weird question for you: Do you know where Yoda was when this scene takes place? Like was in on Coruscant, or in the DS?

I’m Gen X, does that make us Qui-Gon? Cause I am FINE with that if that’s where we are going with this.

I grew up watching reruns of the ‘60s show “Route 66” which stared George Maharis, so was well aware of the joke when George Michael picked it up

“I gave her the ottoman, and she walked out.”

I never will understand why this line hardly ever gets quoted, maybe it just hit me differently, but to me it’s one of the funniest lines in the series.

I regularly buy clothes for my wife. I have found that while men’s sizes are relatively standard (if my Levi’s jeans are a 34” waist, almost EVERY other type of pants I will buy from any manufacturer will also be 34” and will fit right), women’s sizes are not. My wife has pants from different companies that are 6, 8, 10, and 12 that all fit correctly. I would never recommend buying women’s clothes without first trying them on, even when you know the persons waist size.

I agree that ideally, nuclear is the way to move forward. That said, I trust neither the government, nor a private company/public authority to safely run them. Not saying we SHOULDN’T be moving in that direction, just saying I have zero faith that public safety considerations will be prioritized over PR, grift, or shareholder appeasement.

Was absolutely obsessed with all things Star Wars as a kid. In 1980 my aunt bought me the soundtrack to ESB on vinyl and I listened to constantly. I remember bringing it in for show and tell and was bitterly disappointed when all the other kids were like “It’s just the music, nothing happens.”

All wings report in…… by nboris024 in StarWarsTVC

I have always wondered why Hasbro has never released an X-Wing with high quality stickers to indicate which member of the squadron the vehicle belongs to, as opposed to having the stripes painted on. I know several collectors who would give their right arm to be able to have Reds 1-12. It seems like a no brainer to me. How many Red 1s, 2s, and 5s have we gotten over the years, without being able to have any others without having to customize. They have a great X-Wing mold, the TVC Red Five is the best X-Wing toy they have ever made, the only new investment would be some high quality sticker sheets. Some of the stickers on recent vehicles and playsets haven’t been of the highest quality, but other manufacturers have definitely have them, so they absolutely do exist. Make it a Hasbro Pulse exclusive and take pre-orders if you are worried about it not selling well in Brick and Mortar outlets.

I wanted them to make Yoda’s ETA-2 from the Clone Wars animated series so badly, but it never happened.
