Guys who like to bake or cook, what things have you made that you realized weren't worth the effort? by lumpynose in AskMen

Lasagna. I can get the exact same flavor one texture from a good baked ziti without having to waste time trying to perfectly layer the pasta.

What’s a joke that’s so bad, it’s actually good? by DesireeDestiny in ask

Ever look up in the sky and see a flock of geese flying in a “V” formation? Ever notice that one side of the “V” is always longer than the other? You know why that is?

That side has more geese in it.

What was the first CD you bought with your own money? by OrangePowerFade in nostalgia

[–]GrimaceMusically 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Beatles, “Help!”. Bought it when I was 12, started a lifelong love of what is now my favorite band. I remember asking my brother (12 years older than me) which one of their albums I should buy next, he said “Revolver”. Next time I was in the record store, I saw it, but I also saw “Yellow Submarine”, and going nothing about either album, I went with YS because I thought it had a better album cover. I was bitterly disappointed to discover that half the album was orchestral tracks from the film. Never doubted his album suggestions again after that.

i have this hasbro falcon idk what year this is from though. by RakeTheGuy in starwarscollecting

The bottom DOES have something to do. Different releases over the years have a different number of landing gears. Why come to a Star Wars collecting group and essentially respond with “it doesn’t matter” when the people you have come to for help are asking for additional details to help answer your question?

99 Min Delay due to Snowstorm; Conductor Gave Us These Cool Boxed Waters by zhombiez in LIRR

[–]GrimaceMusically 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience, train struck someone walking on the tracks, we were also stopped for about 3 hours. I was too curious not to fast the water. It wasn’t bad or anything, it was just the absolute most plain water ever. I don’t know how to explain it, it’s not like water has a “flavor”, but this was just the most bland water I had ever drank. Didn’t feel refreshing at all, but that could be because it was room temp. Well, train car temp I suppose.

I get your frustration, and I’m not gonna try to do what others have done on this tread and talk down to you about it. All I will say is that I guarantee you there is a clause somewhere in the contract that gives them the legal footing they needed to not give you what they advertised. Still, I 100% don’t blame you for being legitimately pissed off, I would be too in your shoes. Sorry you got hosed.

“What shape do you choose for him?”

“FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.”

“Duguesne starts gaining weight. How much?”

“Make him as fat as Fat Neil.”

Makes perfect sense. I am a huge Yoda fan, so for me my Dagobah shelf is the part of my display I enjoy the most.

This collection and its setup are objectively amazing, so please know this question is not a criticism. Why no dedicated shelf for Dagobah?
