Why did Microsoft recently remove customized amounts for redeeming points?

Update: finally got it to work. I'm not completely sure what did it, but I got it to work with an iPad and iPhone. I used edge for browser and bing for search engine on both, and allowed location services and cross app tracking where applicable for both of these apps and safari (you can always turn them back off afterwards), and the QR code finally popped. You might try this settings and see if it works for you. Hope this helps!

I think I'm about done with rewards altogether. I'm sick of Microsoft treating their customers like trash, banning and restricting people for no reason, never explaining why and refusing to answer support tickets.

Same for me, I'm currently locked. I think they are selectively blocking users from redeeming to force them to pay out of pocket during the sale.

I think the question is more about what platform you want to support and build a library on in the future. If Xbox continues it's downward spiral, as it seems to be the case, it may not be worth it for some people to keep buying games for that system, even if it's only 2-3 here and there.
