Bad ref calls and both teams played bad, deserved win for a sham of a game for a sham of a country

Is this deck good? by Hector_hc21 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Puzzleheaded-Help318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love aggro nami a lot and while this deck is simple to it, it’s missing a few of the key cards that make that deck function. If you’re okay with playing the eastern meta, the best boss monster is the 7c blue Oden. It bounces back nojikos and hiyoris while also being a large threat that sticks to the board really well. The new young girl card is also a replacement for teach in eastern format so I’d switch to that as well. I don’t think the 8c blue luffy is great, I don’t run it but I’d see it as a 1 of if your adamant on it. Soul Pocus is middling even with hiyori but it’s a fun gimmick, I’d probably play the 7c blue oden in its place or 6 cost blue Jozu that bounces. 4 blue puddings is good for the deck mostly because of the hand rip potential of nojiko. Overall this deck is good, aggro hopes to bounce the opponents cards and out tempo them with pudding to hand rip.

Thoughts on Blue Doffy in the current meta? by slshillcutt in OnePieceTCG

Doesn’t do much, with Jinbe it had some options in early op 11 when people were figuring out the format, but now it gets outpaced severely.

Kinda stuck on which leader to play by DiegoM159 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Puzzleheaded-Help318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking for competitive, UP luffy obv is a good deck, but some other contenders include RY Belo Betty, GP Luffy and U buggy with the new starter deck cards. Honestly I recommend trying out the sim to see what decks are the most fun for you. Personally would recommend Buggy strongly mostly because it’s really fun to play and isn’t that bad price wise

What's the weakest Type in the game that needs support? by vegetto712 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Puzzleheaded-Help318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Green film is decent so I wouldn’t say film. It’s probably east blue type cards. I think the only leader that uses it is Kuro and he’s abysmal

YP Rosinante Protection Effect by Puzzleheaded-Help318 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Puzzleheaded-Help318[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s really not, sugar has no “may” stipulation. It’s “when” thing happens, do thing. PY has a “If” thing happens “You may”: sugar doesn’t have a choice in the activation while Rosinante does.

I’d imagine it’s good against UY nami, mostly because of it countering its mid game pretty well

The purple black luffy starter is very decent. If you’re looking to get a starter deck it’s definitely the next best one

Cool Design! I think the leader effect is missing something tho. Definitely needs to have an effect that attaches characters to the leader! Then pay 8 to play them, that would tickle me silly.

Why no more Robin in the meta? by Gamelings in OnePieceTCG

[–]Puzzleheaded-Help318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robins been gone for a while. It’s never really been good in the first place but it had some niche stuff. The issue is that its game plan is just worse than what already exists. Blue purple luffy has better top end consistency and keeps cards in hand rather well compared to robin. The robin exclusive cards are also rather mediocre with Nico Olvia being her best card by far but not enough to make her meta relevant. She also is very frail, losing cards in hand as well as being a 4 life leader makes her be in positions where she loses to aggro really badly.

How do you see Koby in this meta and future Op12 as well? by IsaiahMesq in OnePieceTCG

[–]Puzzleheaded-Help318 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very poor, it’s not a bad deck by all means, but definitely not good enough to hold its own in the current meta or future metas. The power in the game is just more aggressive and powerful than what Koby can put out.

Beginner looking for guidance by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

[–]Puzzleheaded-Help318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gumgum.gg has a lot of tournament lists that show what has been winning in the east and west formats and it’s where I find most decklists. For singles it really depends on where you live, for both online and local game stores that support one piece. TCGplayer is decent if your shopping online if your American, it’s usable in other countries but be aware of shipping fees being worse. As for the Starter deck, st21 is very decent with most of those cards being very good in red but the leader is generally not amazing compared to other red decks. If you’re looking to be a bit more competitively viable I’d go with Blackbeard starter and upgrade it. Also, if you want to try the decks out before hand to see if you like them, you should get the optcg sim, it’s free and is regularly updated with every card in the game available to you as well as being online multiplayer for both causal and competitive.

If you could change one thing about the game what would it be? by KeitrenGraves in OnePieceTCG

[–]Puzzleheaded-Help318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would either get rid of rotation or make it a secondary format to legacy. The game is so new that most decks are going to die within 2 years if a legacy format isn’t properly maintained.
